Biography & Research: 

Dr. /Prof. Yang is the Vice Superintendent Director of Kaohsiung Municipal Ta-Tung Hospital and Director of Neuroscience Research Center, Kaohsiung Medical University. He was a research scholar at the Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) Research Center Washington University in St. Louis, USA. He is the President of Taiwan Asian-Pacific Aging Protection Association and Mentality Protection Center, Fo-Guan Shan, an international organization with branches all over the world. He is the member of executive committee and Head of Research committee of the Asian Society Against Dementia. Dr./Prof. Yang has initiated the Asian Society Against Dementia collaborative studies, including the cross-country AD8 study, and currently leads the Registration of AD in Asia and Screening very mild dementia in Asia studies. He has conducted many studies in AD (including pharmacogenomic and basic studies at the gene and protein level), with numerous resulting publications. He has acted as invited reviewer for many peer-reviewed journals and for grant applications to many institutions. He currently serves as the Associate Editor of the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease and Translational Neuroscience and clinics.
