Biography & Research:
Joanna Wolak, M.Sc., Ph.D., is a drug discovery professional with a strong scientific background in the Neuroscience therapeutic area. Dr. Wolak received her training in molecular biology and biochemistry from the University of Gdansk in Poland. She then conducted postdoctoral training at the University of Bristol (UK) and a fellowship at CNRS (France) investigating protein misfolding and aggregation in the context of molecular chaperones in vitro. Dr. Wolak has over 20 years of experience in science and in the past 10 years her key scientific focus has been on tau pathobiology in Alzheimer’s disease. Currently she is an employee of Eli Lilly and Company working within the Neurodegeneration group and leading programs related to disease modification in Alzheimer’s disease.
