Biography & Research:
Francesca Farina is a neuroscientist whose research focuses on understanding life course risk factors that contribute to Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. Dr. Farina has specific expertise in psychological and cognitive assessments, and neuroimaging. She leads multiple studies involving people living with dementia, family carers, and at-risk populations. Her work examines the the impact of psychological, cognitive and lifestyle-related risk factors in early adulthood and mid-life on late-life dementia. She also collaborates with patient and community advocacy groups to reduce stigma associated with dementia and promote lifelong well-being.
