Biography & Research:
Edna Bosire is an Assistant professor of Medical Anthropology and Implementation Science at the Brain and Mind Institute (BMI) and Department of Population health, Aga Khan University, Kenya
She is also an appointed honorary research scientist at the Developmental Pathways for Health Research Unit (DPHRU) at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa
Edna has led various mixed methods research projects in Africa as a PI or Co-PI: {Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, South Africa, and Malawi.}
Her research interests and contributions are in Health Systems Strengthening, Mental and Brain Health, HIV/AIDS, Diabetes, Climate change and Nutrition.
She works closely with community members, policy makers, clinicians, patients and other stakeholders to ensure health research & interventions are context based, acceptable and sustainable.
