Biography & Research:
Mythily Subramaniam graduated from Lady Hardinge Medical College, India. She received her Master in Health Science Management from Sydney University. She is currently the Director of the Research Division and Lead Investigator of the Mental Health Policy Programme at the Institute of Mental Health, Singapore. She also has a concurrent teaching appointment at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, National University Singapore. Subramaniam’s main academic and research interests include psychiatric epidemiology, psychosis and addictions. She was the co- Principal Investigator of the Well-Being of the Singapore Elderly Study – a nationwide survey of older adults that aims to establish the prevalence, risk factors and cost of dementia in Singapore.
