Biography & Research:
Jennifer Yokoyama, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at the Memory and Aging Center in the Department of Neurology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Dr. Yokoyama is a geneticist and neuroscientist who is interested in understanding how variation across the genome contributes to changes in structure and function as the brain ages. Her lab's current work includes the analysis of deep resequencing, genotypic, and transcriptomic data to identify genetic contributions to gray and white matter structural integrity, clinical syndrome, and cognitive function in Alzheimer's disease, frontotemporal dementia, and healthy aging.
