Biography & Research:
Shraddha D. Rege, Ph.D. is a postdoctoral fellow studying the molecular mechanisms of neuroplasticity and repair following traumatic brain injury at the University of California-Los Angeles. She has her Ph.D. in Molecular & Biochemical Nutrition from Auburn University, AL. Her research focused on identifying the links between obesity associated insulin resistance and Alzheimer’s disease (AD), as well as elucidating the potential role of bioactive compounds against oxidative stress and memory loss in AD. She has published over 8 peer-reviewed manuscripts including 5 first author manuscripts and is a member of Society for Neuroscience.
Research Interests - Alzheimer's disease, amyloid beta, tau pathology, therapeutic strategies to maintain and improve cognitive abilities affected by cognitive aging or dementia.
