Biography & Research:
My current specific areas of research include neurodegenerative disorders (Parkinson’s disease including advanced stages and movement disorders, Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, cerebellar ataxia) with an integrative and translational approach that encompasses clinical evaluation, cognitive assessment, instrumental tools (neurophysiological techniques, imaging, psychophysics), rehabilitation and applied technology for the treatment of the patients (infusion pumps for the advanced PD stages, MRI-guided focused ultrasound).
My clinical interests include neurodegenerative disorders, with a specific focus on Parkinson’s disease including advanced stages and applied technologies and other movement disorders, Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, cognitive disorders, pain, clinical neurophysiology.
