Biography & Research:
Manuel Fuentes graduated with a Doctorate in Neuroscience from the Charité University of Medicine in Berlin. For many years, he studied Neuropsychology and Cognitive Neuroscience, researched and worked in universities, laboratories and hospitals all over Europe. He currently works as a Clinical Neuropsychologist in the Department of Geriatrics and Orthopaedic Surgery Centre at a hospital in Berlin. His research focuses mainly on the early detection of Alzheimer’s disease. He is also interested in the neurophysiological architecture of cognitive functions with a particular focus on recognition memory processes (familiarity and recollection memories) in neurodegenerative diseases and brain damage.
