Biography & Research:
Dr. Dekker is lecturer/researcher at the University of Groningen / University Medical Center Groningen. His research is focused on dementia in people with intellectual disabilities, in particular people with Down syndrome. In addition, he is head of the department of Practice-oriented Scientific Research at Alliade Care Group, one of the largest intellectual disability care organisations in the north of the Netherlands.
