Biography & Research:
Dr. Mai Albaik is an Assistant Professor of Biochemistry at Batterjee Medical College, Saudi Arabia, from 2019 until now. She is also a collaborated researcher with the Clinical and Molecular Osteoporosis Center, Lund University, Sweden. Prior to that, she was a researcher at King Fahd Medical Research Center, Saudi Arabia (2011-2019).
Dr. Albaik holds a PhD in Biochemistry from King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia (2015), MSc in Biochemistry from King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia (2011), PG Dip. in Food Science, University of Aleppo, Syria (2005) and Bachelor of Engineering in Food Science, University of Aleppo, Syria (2004).
Dr. Albaik published many research papers in ISI journals, and a book chapter, carried out several research projects, and participated in many local and international scientific conferences. Dr. Albaik also received many awards during her scientific career.
Her research interests are obesity, vitamin D, osteoporosis, and polycystic ovary syndrome.
